SINO Restaurant London Review: A Refined Ukrainian Culinary Experience

Opening its doors in May 2025, SINO restaurant in London brings a sophisticated Ukrainian-inspired dining experience to Notting Hill. Founded by Polina Sychova and led by acclaimed chef Eugene Korolev, SINO blends traditional Ukrainian gastronomy with Western techniques and seasonal British produce.

Chef Eugene Korolev, president of Bocuse d’Or Ukraine, has an impressive culinary background. He has worked at Michelin-starred European restaurants, including Vendôme, Atelier Amaro, and Benoit. After serving in the Ukrainian special forces during the Russo-Ukrainian war, Korolev returned to the kitchen, bringing his core team from his former Dnipro restaurant to London.

The 52-cover restaurant features a 30-seat main dining room, a 10-seat private dining area, and a small terrace. Designed by Sychova, the interior draws inspiration from Ukraine’s natural beauty, incorporating hay motifs, Ukrainian clay textures, handmade eco-friendly lighting, and ceramics from Saga pottery.

SINO stands as a testament to Ukraine’s rich culinary traditions, thoughtfully reimagined for the London dining scene.
