Krokodilos restaurant in London is a refined Greek venue that brings the essence of the Mediterranean to the city. Helmed by Chef Angelos Togias, formerly of The Connaught, Krokodilos offers a menu that celebrates traditional Greek flavours with a modern twist, utilising seasonal ingredients and authentic recipes. This is the brainchild of restaurateurs George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev, known for their ventures like Wild Tavern and Beast. Their vision for Krokodilos is to provide a dining experience that honours Greek culinary traditions while incorporating contemporary techniques and presentations.
The restaurant’s interior exudes warmth and elegance, featuring earthy bronze, peach, and gold tones. Soft lighting, terracotta banquettes, and muslin chandeliers create an ambience reminiscent of a Greek countryside courtyard. The design balances sophistication and homely charm, offering an inviting atmosphere for diners.
One of Krokodilos’s unique offerings is the olive oil tasting experience, where guests sample five distinct Greek olive oils paired with house-made flatbread. This ceremonial introduction sets the tone for a meal, emphasising quality and authenticity. The restaurant also boasts an extensive selection of Greek wines, highlighting over twenty Indigenous grape varieties. The cocktail menu features innovative creations, such as a passionfruit and yogurt cocktail—a refined twist on the classic pornstar martini.
