Jeremy King, the famous restaurateur behind iconic establishments like The Wolseley and Le Caprice, has returned with a new venture—The Park restaurant in London. Located at the corner of Queensway and Bayswater Road, this 8,600-square-foot venue is part of the Park Modern development. It marks a major step in the £3 billion transformation of the Queensway area. Set against the backdrop of Hyde Park, The Park offers a modern take on the classic grand café. It merges American, Italian, and European influences with a distinctively 1970s California vibe.
The Park’s design is inspired by the stylish diners of New York’s Central Park. Its interior combines rich wood panelling, art deco elements, and elegant furnishings. The restaurant spans 150 covers, with an additional 22 outdoor seats that provide al fresco dining overlooking the greenery of Hyde Park. Architect Lee Polisano and interior studio Brady Williams lead the design. The place captures the essence of 20th-century glamour while bringing in modern touches, making it both elegant and welcoming.
With its luxurious setting, diverse menu, and Jeremy King’s signature touch, The Park will likely become a landmark in London’s dining scene. Positioned within the broader regeneration of Bayswater, the restaurant brings a touch of elegance and vibrancy to this once-overlooked corner of the city. The Park revives the grand café tradition and showcases King’s commitment to blending classic hospitality with contemporary flair.
