Row on 5 restaurant in London, the latest venture of chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton, opens its doors on November 2024, in Mayfair. This establishment will likely become Atherton’s flagship restaurant, offering a meticulously crafted dining experience celebrating the finest British gastronomy.
Jason Atherton, a Michelin-starred chef with an illustrious career, has been instrumental in shaping London’s culinary landscape. His portfolio includes acclaimed establishments like Pollen Street Social and City Social. With Row on 5, Atherton aims to create a “culinary voyage” that guides diners through the peak seasons of British produce, emphasizing refinement and continuous improvement.
Occupying two floors of a new building on Savile Row, Row on 5 provides an immersive dining journey. The ground floor combines counter seating and tables, accommodating 36 guests. This level offers an intimate setting where diners can observe the culinary craftsmanship up close. The lower level houses an open kitchen and bar, seating 22 guests. A private dining room, called the “cellar,” is also available, providing an exclusive space for up to eight guests.
Executive Chef Spencer Metzger, formerly the head chef at The Ritz and a 2019 Roux Scholarship winner, joins Atherton. Metzger brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, aligning with Atherton’s vision for Row on 5. Executive Sommelier Roxane Dupuy, who curates an exceptional drinks program, complements the culinary team.
Reservations for Row on 5 are available up to one month in advance and are released on the first Thursday of every month. Bookings are available online for parties of up to six people. A full menu deposit per person is required for lunch and dinner, with all reservations being final and non-refundable. Guests should make any changes at least 72 hours before the reservation date to avoid charges.
