Delamina Townhouse Restaurant London Review: Eastern Mediterranean Dining in Convent Garden

Delamina Townhouse restaurant in London offers a culinary journey through Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, reflecting the heritage of its founders, Limor and Amir Chen.

Opened in November 2024, this is the third venture by the Chen duo, following the success of their Marylebone and Shoreditch establishments. The restaurant is situated within a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse on Covent Garden and retains original features such as fireplaces and decorative wall panelling. The interior features Limor’s artwork, adding a personal touch to the eclectic décor. The space is thoughtfully divided into cosy nooks and private dining areas, complemented by a small outdoor terrace for al fresco dining.

Delamina Townhouse’s layout includes multiple dining areas, each with its own character, providing intimate settings. The private dining room at the back of the ground floor offers a secluded space for special occasions. The restaurant’s commitment to healthy, flavorful cuisine and artistic ambience make it a distinctive addition to Covent Garden’s dining scene.

Delamina Restaurant London Menu

The menu at Delamina Townhouse showcases a blend of Eastern Mediterranean flavours, emphasizing healthy, ingredient-focused dishes. Signature offerings include Crispy Oyster Mushrooms. Served with a truffled artichoke dip, these mushrooms are a delightful starter, offering a satisfying crunch and rich flavour.

The Kohlrabi Carpaccio consists of thinly sliced kohlrabi and pistachios. This dish provides a refreshing and light option, beautifully balancing textures and flavors. Try the Venison & Lamb Koftas, which are accompanied by pistachio cream and barberries. These koftas are tender and flavorful, showcasing the restaurant’s skill in meat preparation. There’s also the Lamb Tagliata – Hummus, glazed shallots, and dukkah, which offers a complex interplay of spices and textures, highlighting the depth of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine.

Vegetarian options are plentiful, with dishes like charred cauliflower drizzled with lemon-infused crème fraîche and pomegranate molasses. The menu also caters to gluten-free and dairy-free options.

The beverage program features wines from small-batch Mediterranean wineries, offering a curated selection that complements the food menu. Cocktails are crafted using ingredients that mirror those in the dishes.
