High above the city’s bustling streets, the Brooklands Restaurant in London sits at The Peninsula Hotel. It offers more than just dining; it provides an immersive experience. This rooftop haven is a destination and a journey through British history. It is drawing inspiration from the nation’s iconic aviation and motorsport legacy.
The establishment gets its name in honour of the legendary Surrey racetrack. Brooklands has deep-rooted ties with the golden era of British racing and flight innovation. As you step through its dedicated entryway, there’s a palpable sense of history. Sense it through the meticulously curated collection of artefacts. The crowning jewels of this collection are undoubtedly the vintage Napier Railton. It is the 1933 race car that once raced and set unbroken speed records on the very track Brooklands celebrates. A captivating scale model of the Concorde aircraft gracefully suspended above the diners. You can also find this homage in their private dining rooms – the ‘Napier Railton’ and ‘Mach II’.
The architectural design of the restaurant gives guests a feeling of soaring through the skies. The floor-to-ceiling windows and an adjoining terrace offer panoramic views of London’s skyline, making diners feel as if they are airborne, relishing London from a bird’s-eye perspective.
However, at the heart of Brooklands is the culinary magic woven by Chef Director Claude Bosi and Chef de Cuisine Francesco Dibenedetto. Infusing them with traditional French techniques, every dish balances modern flair and classic fine dining.

The rub is that you must be a member to even order a starter, and it catered for the Olympics, US presidents and some of the most powerful people […]
