Roux at the Landau places itself in Marylebone’s finest; The Langham hotel. Known for its unique interior and informal fine-dining vibe, Roux at the Landau takes your normal menu, adds their own twist and wow’s their diners.

The re-vamp was ushered in January by original designer David collins where it was closed for three months and then reopened at the end of April. As you enter the restaurant you await at the newly styled reception with an array of the finest cheeses highlighted by bright spotlights in a glass cabinet. The definition of a cheese lovers dream. Alongside the cabinet truly living by the French cuisine standards is an array of vino’s for diners to eye goggle at on their way to the main restaurant. The restaurant is known for its wine menu with 525 options by the glass, serving a wine suitable  for everyone. The huge-ceiling Edwardian building reveals a refreshing new look with violet covered chairs, pistachio coloured banquettes and a striking centrepiece bar which dominates the dining room with brass bars outlining blue leather interior. The ceiling is hung with custom brass chandeliers with warm golden lighting to reflect off the furniture below giving the place a cool and warming atmosphere.

Roux at the Landau brings together the formidable talents of of Albert and and Michel Roux Jr supervising over the incredibly talented Head Chef ; Nicolas Pasquier. Nicolas trained as chef in France and previously worked at well known restaurant L’atelier de Joel Robuchon before joining the Roux at the Landau team. The team strive to serve the highest quality French cuisine with a contemporary take and fresh British produce. Roux at the Landau offers all aspects of dining from a stop off for a quiet afternoon tea, breakfast to start the day or evening meal. Continental breakfast includes the favourites of fresh fruit , smoked salmon and the picks from the ‘a la carte menu.’ Fresh  produce includes yoghurt imported from France, and Bermondsey honey to warm your stomach. Dinner hosts the perfect selections with mains such as Buccleuch Beef Fillet and Roast French Quail. Not forgetting the British and French cheese board selections for after and pastry chef’s Andrew Gravett’s mouth-watering desserts such as Grand Marnier Souffle , served with muscovado and orange ice cream.

Roux at the Landau also holds host to ‘Artesian’ which is one of London’s most exclusive and well-known bars. The corridors leading to the bar line with cabinets of the finest wines ranging from the oldest , to newest, to finest. The choice is a little hard to say the least but with fine service from the sommeliers they are able to pair your preferences and budget along with the perfect wine.
