1771 Restaurant London

1771 restaurant in London

Newly opened, 1771 restaurant in London by Chef Mark Jarvis’, located in Chelsea, is a contemporary British restaurant that involves creative cooking using locally sourced produce. Expect a sacramento green colour that brings a new vibe and feel to the restaurant, then take a walk downstairs to the bar that showcases the ‘Pop Art’ artwork.

The chef has created a full tasting menu and a sample menu, using locally sourced produce, with a carefully curated wine that pairs so perfectly with the menus and of course, a cocktail list.

The Tasting Menu at 1771 starts with a delicious 1771 focaccia served with cultured butter, brown crab tart, Bonnington Lynn and aged chalk stream trout with potato souffle and a hint of coriander to tickle the palate. The tasting menu serves two desserts; caramelised sourdough parfait and a classic apple cake served alongside an unusual pairing of parsley root ice cream.

The Sample Menu at 1771 starts off with the chefs very popular signature cheese and onion malt loaf. The sharing menu starts off with dishes including a British local favourite of a wood-fired jacket potato with cultured cream and caviar, next up are the scallops barbecued in their shells served with seaweed butter and a whole truffle-roasted chicken. If you remember Liv, this is the same space that 1771 has taken over from, just more refined and creative with only using local seasonal produce.
