The Devonshire Club is home to an iconic private Members Club and boutique hotel and is located in Devonshire Square on a quiet street just off Liverpool Street. It is one of the most exclusive and glamourous Clubs in the city of London, and members immediately feel this as they walk through its doors and into the converted 18th century East India Company Warehouse and townhouse. Tradition and modernity are elegantly intertwined and this is reflected in its mid-century style furnishings and art deco inspirations set inside a modern environment where strong Wi-Fi connectivity is present throughout all the spaces. The interior was designed by March & White who are also behind the style of Café Royal Members’ Club in Piccadilly and the Arts Club in Mayfair. With their expertise, the Devonshire Club London comprises stylish spaces that are rooted in comfort and function. Set across two floors, the spaces allow members to seamlessly ebb and flow between leisure and business.
On the ground floor members can enjoy the Champagne Bar and Lounge, which is one of the more recluse spots perfect to indulge in low-key cocktails and a good book. The Library Bar juxtaposes the quite nature of the Champagne Bar with its black marble bar, and plush armchairs and chesterfield sofas creating a more atmospheric location for members. Hidden behind a door-less wall is the Cocktail Bar and is one of the most sociable places to reside at The Club. It is designed elaborately with art deco inspired furnishings including a large pink feather tree and shiny black piano. Members also have access to a garden room that opens onto a beautiful outside garden, as well as a first-floor outdoor terrace perfect for summertime, and evening canapes and drinks. Two lounge spaces are open to members, and one is the Number 5 that has been recently launched and serves delicious seasonal cuisine throughout the day. This ground floor restaurant is dedicated to elegant fine dining, drinking and entertaining and is headed by Executive Chef of the restaurant, Adam Gray, that celebrates the best of British cuisine and seasonal ingredients sourced from the British Isles. It seats up to 110, exudes elegance with its plush leather banquette seating and offers mesmerising views of the garden with its floor to ceiling windows. Four event rooms are also at the disposal of Club members and are bookable for private events. The rooms are equipped with AV, presentation facilities and high-speed Wi-Fi, and can be used to meet colleagues, and host client meetings. With the help of a specialist event team and dedicated kitchen, the rooms can also be transformed into private social events for members where everything from flower arrangements to decor can be shaped to fit the needs of the members.
A joining fee of £2,000 and an annual membership fee of £2,000 gives Club members full access to all the facilities, the best rate for bedrooms at the boutique hotel and also priority bookings at Number Five restaurant. The Devonshire Club London does not stop there, its cultural programme also offers guests private performances from famous artists and exclusive access to world-class speakers, creatives and specialists from across the globe. Each member can bring up to three guests to enjoy the perks of this membership, and additional guests can be accommodated by making prior arrangements with the Club.
The Devonshire Club is one of the most sought-after Members Clubs in London, and this is perfectly encapsulated in its diverse number of elegant spaces that members can utilise for both work and play. Its prime location just ten minutes from the Shoreditch nightlife, and five minutes from the breathtaking city views from Heron Tower and the Gherkin also make this Club one of the finest examples of the best and most exclusive Members Clubs in London.
