The Court is one of the newest private members clubs to enter the thriving central Soho members club scene. Its location was once the legendary Bag O’Nails venue where iconic artists including The Stones, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix use to perform and socialise regularly. The Court members club London has retained the essence of its rich musical and artistic history with nightly live entertainment on its piano stage from talented performers, comedians and artists from all different mediums.
It has quickly become one of the most sought-after locations in London, as it redefines the typical private members club experience through combining the charm of iconic bygone clubs with a modern relevancy. What made members clubs of the old so special was their uncompromising attention to hospitality where each member was not just another face through the doors but rather valued as individuals. Harry Mead, the owner of the Court, has the vision to bring this back to the 21st Century by personally hosting every night at this Soho members Club as well as collaborating with household names in hospitality like Richard Haddon, the former General Manager of Mahiki London. The club’s ambience is also reminiscent of yesteryear clubs and the internationally renowned artist, Bradley Theodore and Celebrity florist Nikki Tibbles, have designed the Club by drawing inspiration from Studio 54 and The Great Gatsby.
The restaurant and subterranean bar also encompass a contemporary twist on Gatsby-esque style. Members can expect the finest showcase of creative food and drinks helmed by Michelin-starred Tom Sellers and award-winning mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana. The menu is based on delicious classics such as truffle and white bean soups and steak and frites. The cocktails are also something special with twists on classic Negroni including the Colobo gin and Martini Ambrato.
Selection of members is based on those who typify the fun, creative and lively character of the The Court members club London and is exclusive for an annual fee of £600. The Court prioritises its membership experiences, and reinvests its revenue into running a plethora of private events for members throughout the year. There are countless private members clubs in London that deliver fantastic music, décor, food and art, but not many that can combine these elements to create an experience better than the Court. No element is more important than another and this is aptly described in their ethos of creating a space for members that is “greater than the sum of its parts” and also in their star-studded team of experts that aim to make every facet of a members experience enjoyable.
