Sumosan Twiga is the beautiful marriage story of Japanese and Italian cuisine. Founded in 1997, the restaurant has locations in London, Monaco, Dubai, Moscow, and Courchevel. Their London unit, one of the most luxurious of them all, lies in the Knightsbridge neighborhood on a three-floor venue that serves as a restaurant, bar, and nightclub.
On the first floor, you will find the bright and classicly designed restaurant, with white cloths over the round tables and teal-colored chairs. Picture frames hang from the white walls, and black and white patterned curtains hang in front of large windows. Aside from the classic Italian casual design, black and bronze color hues also take you back to colonial Africa. Find an a la carte menu divided into Italian and Japanese dishes. Handmade pasta and tons of different maki rolls are part of the deal. Try the Hamachi tiradito with julienne ginger and freshly sliced truffle, or maybe the homemade burrata and winter black truffle ravioli with butter sauce and sage. You can opt for the chef’s menu and get a tasting of both cuisines for a fixed price.
On the second floor od Sumosan Twiga, you will encounter the cocktail bar with a darker and more intimate decor. Here you can dine from the same menu as downstairs or nibble on the many bar snacks on the counter. Try the Botanical cocktail, the house specialty, crafted with gin, elderflower, Italicus, and basil. Taste well-balanced and aromatic cocktails presented to you in a highly creative manner – get your phone camera ready.
On the lower floor, a chic and late-night experience awaits you. From Friday to Sunday, find the blue-lighting of Sumosan Twiga’s club. Indulge in their premium bottle service and exuberant cocktails. Sip champagne in a private booth listening to DJs. Reserve the entire space for private hire.
