In the epicentre of the bustling Marylebone High Street lies Orrery - a treasure trove of elegant French cuisine, award-winning wines and outstanding service. Orrery restaurant is a sanctuary for guests seeking a reprieve from their busy lives, and offers an escape to a comfortable and luxurious setting.
The ground-floor dining room is the picture of classic French design with its crisp colour scheme of whites, creams and pops of lavender panelling. David D’Almada of Sagrada adorned the space with elegant furniture, artworks and hand-made terracotta clay pots to evoke tranquil images of the South of France. Floor-to-ceiling arched windows flood the room with natural lighting and offer wonderful portraits of the St Marylebone Church courtyard outside. The design complements the sophistication of Orrery’s French cuisine, which was awarded three AA Rosettes and the esteemed Test of Time Tatler award in 2016. The menus come courtesy of Michelin-starred Head Chef, Igor Tymchyshyn. From the dinner A La Carte menu, we suggest starting with a classic dish of chicken liver parfait. Its rich and savory nature is elegantly offset by a garnish of poached peaches. Another outstanding starter is the lobster which is elevated with a mix of global culinary techniques. The spicy wasabi flavours shine through, but are perfectly balanced by a mix of citrus mango flavours. The mains are sumptuous, presented with simplicity and showcase the finest balance of ingredients. The sea bass dish was one of our favourites, as it illuminates the light fish flavours with its addition of Jerusalem artichoke and apple. Another fantastic option is the lamb fillet that pairs-down the rich meat flavour with caramelised onion, peas and rosemary jus. In addition to the dinner A La Carte menu, guests can also choose their tasting and set menus – each exhibit culinary prowess. Orrery restaurant London also boasts impressive wine lists, and the one that is most exceptional is their Sommelier selection. These wines have been hand-selected by the head Sommelier and showcase the best of Bordeaux.
Experience a moment of South of France alfresco living at Orrery’s rooftop terrace. Here guests are surrounded by beautiful lavender and olive trees, and splendid views of the busy Marleybone High Street from below. Delicious botanical cocktails and light meals from Orrery’s A La Carte menu are only intensified by the magical backdrop of a summer sun or the warm glow of an evening sunset. For days where the weather is non-permitting, Orrery restaurant London also has an elegant bar space which is as inviting and luxurious. It is more intimate with its close banquette seating arrangement, but welcomes guests openly with its pops of colour, bright lighting and mirrored bar lined with the finest spirits. Guests can enjoy a selection of seasonal cocktails, wines and champagne by the glass as well a selection of cigars. Orrery offers an abundance of cocktails and divides them into contemporary, classic, champagne and martini cocktails. There is something for everybody, and as a pre-dinner drink or as a weekend treat, we suggest trying one of their champagne cocktails. The £14.95 Belvedere balances the strong spirit with light lime and elderflower flavours and tops off with premium Moet and Chandon bubbles.
Orrery restaurant London offers its guests the perfect oasis for relaxation in one of the most luxurious of settings. From the French cuisine and wine through to the al fresco terrace and bar, guests are transported away from the hustle and bustle of London and into the calm elegance of the South of France. With Orrery’s variety of space, it is a dining destination that should be visited more than once!

You’d expect a Michelin-starred chef with his CV to be all puffed up with self-importance, but not Sameer. He’s not the type to humble brag with his hand earnestly resting on his chest, telling you ‘how grateful and humbled’ he is in that way that makes you cringe. No, […]

Mosimann’s – A Look Inside London’s Famous Members Restaurant

When one utters “Darling… I’m just popping in for a spot of lunch at a luxurious dining restaurant in Belgravia that catered to both Harry and William’s wedding; it has John Major, John Cleese and a long list of actors, writers, and politicians as regulars too. The rub is that you must be a member to even order a starter, and it catered for the Olympics, US presidents and some of the most powerful people […]
