Mr Foggs Residence London

Mr Fogg's Residence   Taking you out of the normal bustle of the streets of Mayfair lies a patch a land home of the famous adventurer; Phileas J.Fogg.  Mr Fogg’s Residence is one of many bars that tell the story of Mr Fogg and his journey around the world. On Wednesday the 2nd of October 1872, Phileas J. Fogg, Esq. embarked upon his journey around the world. He haggled a bet together that he would be able to complete the world in eighty days and as you drink through the assortment of cocktails the stories begin to lay themselves out. The fictional bar adds a light-hearted feel to the city as it tucks itself just off Berkeley. A doorman greets you at the entrance in a long coat to take your reservation. He rings the doorbell and from there you step off the street inside the novel and leave your age and expectations of life at the door. Mr Fogg’s resembles the cross between a living room and an old boy’s club with a Victorian feel about it. Décor consists of bookcases, a gramophone and random objects layering the walls and furniture representing Mr Fogg’s adventures. His hot air balloon spreads itself over one of the corners of the room which you can else drink in the form of a cocktail. The atmosphere is informal leaving your mind to fly with the fairies and imagine your own stories behind each artefact. When the sun is shining you have the option to sit outside in garden in the bars private seating area. Birdcages hang from the ceiling, along with plus taxidermy and a host of staff to make your stay unforgettable. The cocktail menu has a story of every country Mr Fogg managed to visit it in his 80 day visit and with all different flavours mixed together you are whisked away with him from the ‘ The terracotta tiles of the aged Italian capital’ (Turin) or a ‘quick stop off at Singapore.’ With his highly in-trained staff you can summon up exactly the drink you want with the base of your choice with all the classic cocktails available to be whipped up. Brewed ales are also available and Mr Foggs has teamed up with Hendricks gin and Veuve Clicquot champagne to provide the most exoctie range of flavours. A must visit is Mr Fogg’s Tipsy tea party in celebration of the British pastime. Champagne and spirit infused cocktails on tap take you through the afternoon along with a arrange of yummy snacks including cakes, wraps and sandwiches and of course only served on the finest china. If you choose to go bottomless the bottomless tea is highly recommended where you can sample a taste from all over the world with attentive staff on hand to point you in the right direction. And of course, wouldn't be a tea party without everything served in teapots would it? To add to the adventures Mr Fogg’s residence holds a series of events, one being  ‘The Explorer Series.’ Book yourself into one of these to experience first hand the adventures of other explorers around the world whilst you enjoy your surroundings and drinks. Following up on Mr Fogg’s number seven rule ‘Do not sigh or yawn, neither bore nor fatigue others.’ Something that does not exist when visiting Mr Fogg’s Residence. Restaurant Booking
