Kora Chelsea Restaurant London Review: Refined Mediterranean Dining Lands on King’s Road

Inside the striking Beaufort House on King’s Road, Kora Chelsea restaurant in London is a modern Mediterranean dining experience that blends seasonal British produce with the sun-soaked spirit of southern Europe. Opened in summer 2025 by restaurateur George Bukhov-Weinstein and chef José Fernandes, Kora is already turning heads for its elegant, laid-back approach to coastal cuisine.

From the moment you walk into Kora, the space whispers Mediterranean sophistication— warm woods, whitewashed textures, and soft linen-draped banquettes. The open kitchen hums gently in the background, framed by natural stone counters and shelves filled with ceramic olive oil jars. Light pours in from Beaufort House’s windows, making it an ideal lunch spot, though the candlelit evenings here carry an understated glamour that Chelsea diners crave.

Kora is more than a pretty face—it’s thoughtful, generous, and grounded in quality. With its balance of finesse and friendliness, it already feels like a Chelsea classic in the making.

Kora Chelsea Restaurant London Menu

The menu celebrates shareable dishes and fire-led cooking. Begin with the Spanakopita (£8), crisp and buttery with spinach and feta richness. From the dips, the Silken Aubergine Baba with Smoked Almonds (£7) stands out—silky, smoky. Spooned onto their Charred Sourdough Pita with coal oil and oregano salt (£4), it is the kind of opener that sets a tone.

The Crudo section is a highlight. The Bluefin Tuna Crudo with Radicchio and Hazelnuts (£22) is bright, textural, and elegantly plated, while the Yellowtail Kingfish with Candied Lemon and Dill Oil (£18) offers a punchy citrus depth that lingers beautifully. For something more indulgent, the Lobster Saganaki with Orzo and Xigalo Cheese (£40) delivered richness and comfort, without being heavy.

Vegetables aren’t an afterthought at Kora—they’re treated with reverence. The Roasted Beets with Ricotta Dressing and Olive Oil (£12) and Bitter Horta with Lemon and Garlic (£6) balance freshness with depth. From the “Larger” plates, the Lamb Shoulder with Labneh and Mint Salad (£38) is meltingly tender, offset by the yoghurt’s gentle tang.
