Home House was established in the 18th century by James Wyatt aimed as a sophisticated place for enjoyment and entertainment. The venue hosts multiple restaurants, bars, a garden, bedrooms, a boardroom and a gym, steam room and sauna on the lower floor. Home House also holds many member events throughout the year.

This private members club is renowned as being a predominantly social club and doesn’t cater to people from specific industries or classes. For business owners and entrepreneurs their sister members club Home Grown is most appropriate and only a few minutes walk away.

The food options are numerous, with The Restaurant offering a modern European menu while The Drawing Rooms serve light suppers and lounge-style food. The Drawing Rooms also serve breakfasts including everything from omelettes to full English breakfast.

The exclusive member events held at Home House are one of the aspects of the club for which it is most well known. These are held in the garden or the large rooms specially designated for events. In the past Home House has held summer parties, Havana parties, cricket socials and various others. There is also the ability to hire out events rooms for private events such as weddings, press launches and business meetings.

Home House offers a range of membership options to suit all requirements. The full individual membership for over 35s and a lower priced one for under 35s. Additionally there is a social membership (roughly half the price of the full membership) which allows access to the venue all weekend and after 6pm on weekdays. To become a member the best way is to get recommended by a current member after which you will get a tour of the club before being welcomed as a new member should your application be approved.

The Other Club was a pop-up London members club located in Kingly Court, Soho. It ran until the 15th November 2013 and was designed as a venue to cater to professional London women. Men were allowed to enter as long as they were accompanied by a woman. Katie Glass and Joy Lo Dico collaborated to create The Other Club, originally designed only for journalists, but later opened up to those from other industries such as bankers, writers, artists and more. Membership cost £5.

Members of The Other Club could attend the club for working during the daytime. They couls also attend events and discussions focusing on female-relevant topics hosted by accomplished women in their respective industries. Guest speakers included Bryony Kimmings, VV Brown, Helen Lederer, Katie Melua, Rosie Boycott, Liz Jones, and Zoe Lewis.

Blacks Private Members Club

 

Being one of the oldest Private Members Clubs in Great Britain, built in 1732 by the apprentice of Christopher Wren, Blacks is rich with British Culture whilst still upholding the exclusivity it has always displayed, acting as a refuge from the outside world. Brought back to London in 2014 by current owner Ben Goldman, the Georgian Heritage is still prominent throughout the Private Members Club, making one of The Best Private Members Clubs in London.

Set across three beautiful furnished floors, Blacks Club is full of quirky, unique aspects, differentiating itself from the surrounding Private Members Clubs. On the first floor of the venue you will find The Club Room and a Bar. One of the aspects to Blacks which stood out was their Restaurant, which claims to be ‘Seasonal, honest and well-executed’, and we can certainly vouch for that. The A La Carte Menu designed by Chef Matthew Brydan has a selection of classic, delicious British favourites whilst incorporating European influences such as Beef Carpaccio as a starter and a Wild Game Pie served with Triple Cooked Chips, both equally as delicious and presented beautifully.

In regards to becoming a Member of Blacks Club, their main criteria is that ‘You’re extraordinarily interesting and interested’, Memberships are priced at an annual fee of £500, with an upfront cost of £250. Members have access to exclusive events each month, at least once a month Members of Blacks Club have access to the Club’s Supper Club, an opportunity for Members to get to know one another at a themed-event, which is complimented by unique food menus each accompanied by hand-selected wines. Blacks Club also arrange Music Nights, for both accomplished or up and coming performers, Members are invited to enjoy an evening of high-quality music, ranging in different genres and styles. One of Britain’s biggest and most successful male solo performing artist’s, Sam Smith who performed his first gig at Blacks Club!

For an escape from living the busy London Lifestyle, Blacks Club is certainly the ideal private Members Club, providing space for Members to relax and unwind.

The Berkeley Hotel, one of London’s top, five star hotels has become home to a beautiful new bar, The Berkeley Bar and Terrace.

The Berkely Bar and Terrace was designed by Irish interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan (known for his exceptional work at the Ballynahinch Castle, Ireland). The new addition to the Berkeley Hotel promotes a cosy, relaxed ambience, with the soft, white and wooden colour theme, created from a 400 year old fallen Fulbeck Walnut tree, displaying exceptional craftsmanship and beautiful designs throughout the Bar. The Bar seats 40, in-keeping with the intimacy and exclusivity of the hotel and features a unique addition called ‘The Snug‘. ‘The Snug’ is a separate area, surrounded by murals of female faces which is hired out for private functions, featuring its own sound system and ‘on-button’ service – making guests feel as if it’s their own personal bar.

The Berkeley Bar and Terrace’ menu displays a vast selection of fine wines, champagne, spirits, and cocktails. If this isn’t enough to entice you to go, the Berkeley Bar and Terrace also features a food menu, where guests can dine on a variety of dishes, each bursting with exquisite flavours. Aside from the food and drinks served, the Bar also has a selection of fine Cigars which can be used on the Terrace, or for external use.

The Berkeley Hotel now has two bars, The Blue Bar, a fabulous cocktail bar designed by David Collins’s, and the wonderful new Berkeley Bar and Terrace

The sophistication and intimacy of the Berkeley Hotel has been enhanced through the introduction of the new Bar, The Berkeley Bar and Terrace, a beautiful addition to one of London’s top hotels.
