Explore the menu crafted by Michelin-starred Andrey Mcleish and sip on a cocktail created by Andy Mill, a well-known mixologist. Head downstairs and find Henderson’s, a secret and exclusive cocktail bar. It is an invite-only speakeasy venue with live music and plenty of entertainment.

Order from one of the four different tasting menus, which vary in the number of dishes included in the multi-course dinner. Taste truffle arancini with sage and chilli dip to get started. Move to the chargrilled octopus with romesco Sauce, artichokes, and a potato and black olive salad. The main dishes display elegance on plates like the 32-day gry-aged ribeye of Hereford beef, served with a  rocket salad, potatoes and Béarnaise sauce.

Pair your meal with a house cocktail. The blends here are highly creative, both in name and ingredients used. The Because We Cancan cocktail mixes Eminente Reserva Rum 7, chai tea, honey, Sauvignon Blanc, aromatic bitters, Aperol, and spiced rum.

On Saturdays, attend Windmill Soho’s bottomless brunch with a Cabaret show. Taste Scottish lobster with red chilli, tomato and parsley, while sipping champagne and watching dancers take over the stage. Come back later at night and dance until dawn at the nightclub. Book a table and order bottle service as you listen to some of the best London DJs playing their sets. The Windmill Soho is a genuinely immersive experience made for the most exclusive crowds of Soho.

Cavita Restaurant London

September 30, 2022 Capital A List - Celebrity club news

Cavita is a Mexican restaurant in London, right in Mayfair, one of the city’s most luxurious and exclusive neighbourhoods. It was created by Adriana Solís Cavita, who was a former chef at Pujol in Mexico City, one of the best restaurants in the entire country. Aside from that, she also worked at El Bulli and Poyotito, two other world-renowned restaurants. Cavita is Adriana’s expression of Mexican cuisine and its heritage, presented sophisticatedly.

At Cavita, you can explore Mexican foods’ colours, textures and flavours. They use traditional cooking techniques and honour ancient recipes and ingredients— the result is authentic Mexican food right at Mayfair. Everything is homemade, and ingredients come from sustainable farmers and producers. Fish, vegetables, meat… everything is combined with native Mexican products, creating an explosion of flavours and aromas.

Start by ordering from the Raw Bar, and taste Carlingford rock oysters with homemade clamato and beer granite. Share a whole sea bream cooked inside banana leaves with axiote marinade, roasted peppers, and black beans.

Cavita also serves brunch, where you can order tacos and maybe huevos rancheros inside a deep-fried tortilla, with red and green Salsa, coriander, and free-range smoked streaky bacon.

The place also specialises in Mezcal and Tequila, and ordering a dose of either is a must. If you’re a fan of the smokiness of Mezcal, choose from the menu of doses, each with its particular flavour and aroma profile.  Try the House Margarita with tequila Blanco, fresh spiced watermelon, and lime juice for cocktails. For something more unique, the Ka-Beet-A may do the trick. Charanda Mexican rum, Creme de Cassis, pickled beetroot, agave syrup, and fresh lime juice make up the cocktail.

Cavita is the ideal place to connect with Mexican culture and cuisine. Make sure to have your tastebuds experience authentic Latin wonders.

The Luggage Room Bar London

September 20, 2022 Capital A List - Celebrity club news

The Luggage Room Bar London

There’s no such thing as too many Speakeasy bars in the world. Especially if they are located inside the old luggage room of the Marriott Hotel. Hence the name of the place: the Luggage Room bar in London. It is a secret worth sharing, according to them. Located in the Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel, this bar is an elegant spot to grab a drink and feel the energy of the American prohibition era. Like most speakeasy bars, the place’s entrance is hidden, and one has to knock on the door to access the main room.

Inside, find an intimate and dimly lighted place. Cream walls, leather booths and dark wooden floors take you back to the classic decor of hidden bars from the 1920s. Marble details on the stairs and the floor complement the design. The drinks follow the bar’s theme, and many genuinely resemble the actual stuff served during that time. Juleps, cobbles, and fizzes are a strong suit at the Luggage Room. Around you, people order martini glasses and highballs while listening to jazz music and sharing elegance and luxury.

Aside from that, find well-balanced cocktails that work with different spirits and flavour profiles. A rum-based punch is fruity and robust all at once. The whisky Nog is the perfect solution for a cold winter night. The Pink Lady, a clever twist of the classic White Lady cocktail, delivers gin, grenadine, applejack, lime juice and the creaminess of the egg white foam. Behind the bar, there’s a rich display of spirits and liquors, as well as renowned champagne and wine labels from different parts of the world. If you’re hungry, order from the selection of bar snacks and try light flavours that complement the drinking experience. The ice on some of the cocktails is cut in the back and presented in unique shapes and sizes.

Apricity Restaurant London

August 26, 2022 Capital A List - Celebrity club news

Apricity Restaurant London

Apricity is the word used to describe the sun’s warmth during the winter. In the restaurant, you can find a philosophy of generosity, sustainability, regeneration, and overall light. Located in Mayfair, Apricity London restaurant follows a low-waste rule. You can become part of a sustainable community here, on a circular economy that is constantly improving and re-designing itself. Created by chef Chantelle Nicholson, the restaurant has gathered brilliant minds, all working together to deliver a unique experience to the customer.

Apricity works with small-scale farmers and suppliers. They work with seasonal and local ingredients, always at the peak of their flavour. A celebration of local vegetables and regeneratively farmed meat is found in a British-inspired menu. The fish are also caught sustainably, coming straight from the British Isles. You can try the multi-course tasting menu and allow the staff to impress you with the natural flavours of British ingredients. There are also the a la carte options, as always.

As a starter, taste the braised ox tongue with summer vegetables, ricotta and an aromatic broth. Maybe go for the scallops with elderflower pickled cucumber, smoked roe, and Hollis Mead cream sauce. Main dishes are peculiar house inventions. Corn with roasted courgette, pink flamingo peas, hazelnuts, and tofu purée is a strong example. Finish off with a plum and rapeseed frangipane tart.

The wine list displays low-intervention wines from British vineyards. The cocktail list includes soft drinks like an apricot sidecar, or a fig leaf martini. Inside the restaurant, find a simple and carefree decor, highlighting the sustainable approach of the place. Vines hang from the ceiling, contrasting with the worn-off pink painting on the walls. Wooden tables and black metal chairs take you to a warehouse-like setting. A large communal table sits in the centre of the dining room. The lighting from the golden lamps on the walls blends with the sunlight coming in from the front windows.
