Embassy Guestlist

Embassy Guestlist & Tables

Still holding its long time reign as one of the classiest nightclubs in the capital, the Embassy guestlist is still hard to access and acts as one of the most expensive members clubs in Mayfair but keeps a surprisingly welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Expect a wealth of footballers and wannabe WAGS aplenty even on a Thursday in this discreet looking restaurant and club located on Old Burlington Street.

Once you’re on the Embassy guestlist and you enter the venue you will notice the sizeable ground floor that acts as the main bar and restaurant. With minimal decor, the marbled mirrors and decorated ceiling gives the club a luxurious feel. Downstairs in the basement club, black and silver wallpaper adorns the walls matching the metallic staircase, whilst the two VIP areas in the club appear to be the main attraction. One area is situated around the dance floor in full view of all the partygoers, whilst the second is separated from the rest of the club by a glass wall giving it a very private feel.

On a Friday and Saturday the only way to get in to the basement club is by the embassy guestlist only, which means that it doesn’t get overly crowded and allows guests to have a great time. Glamorous and well dressed men and women are often seen on the floor dancing along to predictable funky house, electro, R n B and club classics that really get the crowd going.

On the embassy guestlist everyone has a great time, mainly due to the exclusive feel of the crowd and the toe tapping tunes that are played throughout the night. If you want to get up, close and personal to premiership footballers and the elite, then an evening spent at on the Embassy guestlist will tick all of those boxes.

A mesmerising LED screen is also placed in the room which displays a mixture of different images throughout the evening. To the right there is a VIP area where the private booths sit neatly covered by extravagant red curtains. To sit here will set you back a decent sized bottle of Dom Perignon , however this is where the main podium is set up for the shows that are visible to the rest of the club. To the left there is another private area compromising of plush velvet seating and a long bar, which has an emphasis on great table service.

The atmosphere is what you would expect from a gentlemen’s club in this area, with men who want to spend money whilst being able to relax and unwind after a long week on a Thursday or Friday night. Far from sleazy, the girls who work here are gorgeous and not the money grabbing types that you will find in other London clubs of this type.

What makes this club stand out in the crowd is that at weekends come 2am the club closes for an hour, in which it then returns at 3am as a late night dance venue. Funky house is played along in the background, as partygoers from other Mayfair club guestlists who just aren’t ready to end the night come here after the party has ended. With a decent sized dance floor and a great the ability to attract a great crowd, The Mayfair club guestlist is certainly strong competition for other clubs in the area.

Rose

July 3, 2012 Capital A List - Celebrity club news

Rose Club Guestlist & Tables

The Rose guestlist is the latest development from the guys behind legendary high end clubs Whisky Mist and Mahiki. Highly anticipated as one of the best new clubs on the London club circuit, the Rose guestlist is a new 300 capacity club and exclusive venue at the height of sophistication. It boasts a very chic and modern interior design, only to be filled with the hottest and most well-known names in the world. Opened by Nick House and Piers Adam, expect to be whisked away in to an extravagantly theatrical evening at this Marylebone club, it’ll be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

Thursday nights at The Rose have become legendary and once you have made it past the tight door staff, you will enter down the red staircase, which will make you feel like royalty, in to the club. Lavish red and black interior catches your eye straight away, whilst hundreds of twinkling mirrors hang elegantly from ceiling to floor, so make sure to look your best as you’re on display at all times. The club has an overall feel of transporting back to the time of speakeasies mixed with the glistening glamour of today. The ground level has a flower shop that not only depicts the name of the club, but acts as a sort of disguise to the club, coming off as sweet, innocent and gentle, but as we all know every rose has its thorn. On the Rose Guestlist you will feel as if you are in your very own theatrical production, setting your individual story for the night. A long bar takes up one side of the club, whilst clusters of tables are piled high with ice buckets and constant flowing champagne. The waitresses who tend to every drinker’s needs are dressed in sparkling tutu’s and dramatic make up, looking every inch the professional ballet dancer plucked straight off of the American Ballet Theatre stage, which adds to the theatrical nature of this club. The girls bring a classical twist to the club, especially when they warm up on the bar to live string quartets and opera singers. Immediately the night is started off properly and gets all the guests in just the right mood to dance the night away. Matched with the twinkling mirrored décor, guests can’t help but feel as if they are in a giant musical jewellery box every Friday and Saturday, which is the idea and inspiration behind Robert Angell’s design for the establishment.

The Rose guestlist attracts a sophisticated crowd, with a sprinkle of celebs who are often seen making an appearance here. Whilst fitting classical and opera music fills the club during the early evening, as the crowd gets bigger and bodies start moving the music changes to an appropriate mix of house and dance. The only better thing than good music is having a fantastic drink in hand. Mixologist Christian Ozzati is the original creator of the drinks list for the club, in addition to being the bar manager. These drinks are not only amazing on their own, but stand out because of the vessels in which they are served, for example a music box or giant Monopoly pieces. Like many other London clubs, tables can be booked here at a pricey cost. However, it seems that the Rose guestlist is the perfect place to let your hair down and be taken away into your own personalized fantasyland. A new jewel on the London club scene, the originality of it’s interior design, the celebrity clientele, amazing drinks, superb staff and concept will be sure to blow you away.
