The beloved Cahoots bar in London, known for its immersive 1940s-themed cocktail venues, has expanded its unique take on London’s nightlife with the opening of Cahoots Postal Office in Borough Yards. This new venture transports guests back to post-war London. It offers a nostalgic experience inspired by the golden age of the British postal service.
The Cahoots bars are already famous for their vintage Underground-themed venues in Soho. Now, they have turned their creative sights to the world of mid-century mailrooms and sorting offices. The Postal Office follows the success of its sister locations, providing an equally immersive journey that fuses history with cocktails and décor.
Located in the heart of Borough Yards, the Cahoots Postal Office evokes the charm of 1940s London. It brings to life the hustle and bustle of the city’s postal service in the post-war era. As you enter the doors, you see authentic vintage touches. Find letter sorting machines, old post boxes, and even a tube system that delivers cocktails straight to your table. The entire space is designed to make guests feel as though they’ve stepped into a working post office of the 1940s but with a glamorous, playful twist.
The Inception Group, the creative force behind Cahoots, has spared no effort in creating a detailed and immersive setting. Cahoots Postal Office has period-appropriate furnishings, distressed wood, and retro signage. The ambience is enhanced by vintage postal uniforms worn by the staff and live 1940s jazz music that plays in the background.
Cahoots Bar London Menu
In true Cahoots fashion, the bar menu is anything but ordinary. The cocktail offerings are just as inspired as the décor, with drinks taking on postal-themed names and inventive presentations. Standout cocktails include the “First Class Martini,” a smooth concoction of gin, vermouth, and citrus, and the “Stamped & Sealed Sour,” a mix of whiskey, lemon, and honey. Drinks come unexpectedly via a pneumatic tube system, adding a fun and interactive element to the experience. Watching your cocktail zoom overhead and land at your table is just one of the many highlights that make the Postal Office genuinely unique.

He’s not the type to humble brag with his hand earnestly resting on his chest, telling you ‘how grateful and humbled’ he is in that way that makes you cringe. No, […]
