Café Linea restaurant in London will open in the early summer of 2025. Located at 90 Duke of York Square in Chelsea, this all-day neighbourhood restaurant, bar, and bakery aims to blend European café culture with modern culinary flair.
Founded by husband-and-wife duo Greg and Felicity Godik, Café Linea draws inspiration from the classic cafés and bistros within historic European arcades. Greg Godik brings a wealth of hospitality experience, having previously served as an executive at Ennismore. Felicity’s background complements their shared vision for Café Linea.
Situated within a Grade-II listed 19th-century arcade overlooking Duke of York Square, Café Linea’s interiors have been designed by Dion & Arles. They are the creative minds behind notable venues such as Chiltern Firehouse and The Standard, London. The space blends historic architectural features, including vaulted ceilings and arched alcoves, with a modern, warm and timeless aesthetic. Large arched windows allow natural light to flood the interior during the day. In the evening, the ambience transforms into a romantic, candle-lit setting ideal for aperitifs or leisurely dinners. A spacious terrace offers an alfresco dining and drinking oasis, providing picturesque views of Duke of York Square.
Café Linea Restaurant London Menu
Under the culinary direction of Chef Partner Carolina Ferpozzi, originally from Argentina, Café Linea’s menu showcases produce-led, modern classics and elevated comfort food. Chef Ferpozzi brings experience from working alongside esteemed South American chefs Fernando Trocca and Narda Lepes. She infuses the menu with creativity and expertise. The all-day à la carte offerings feature ricotta dumplings with mushrooms. For those seeking a hearty option, the sharing curried chicken pie provides a comforting choice. Additionally, the inventive bar snacks menu offers accompaniments to the curated drinks list.
Complementing the food, Café Linea’s beverage program includes a dynamic wine list specializing in small, innovative Old-World producers. An impressive selection of sparkling and sweet wines is thoughtfully curated to pair with the bakery’s offerings. Signature cocktails, lighter aperitifs, and after-dinner digestifs round out the drinks menu, ensuring guests have various options to suit their preferences.
A key highlight of Café Linea is its on-site bakery and pastry kitchen, which produces a delectable array of freshly baked goods. In the mornings, guests can indulge in artisanal pastries, such as savoury allumettes filled with ham, cheese, and miso, or banoffee stocks topped with banana cream, perfectly paired with speciality coffees.
