Colour/Light/Movement: An exhibition by Ptolemy Mann
Union Club are honoured to present Colour/Light/Movement, a stunning collection of new large-scale paintings by the acclaimed artist Ptolemy Mann, from March 26 to May 17, 2024.
This is an exciting year for the artist, whose work is the subject of three upcoming solo exhibitions and a monograph launch at Tate Modern, where one of her major works resides.
Ptolemy’s paintings are rollercoasters of pulsating colours and syncopated rhythms, executed with lavish expressions of line and gesture. They are, she says, the culmination of a ‘twenty-five-year period of gestation and thinking about painting that has finally emerged’.
