Pronounced ‘quaint’, Mayfair’s new bar 'Kwant' is certainly not one to be missed. Kwant, Mayfair found in the basement of the excellent Momo Restaurant at 23-25 Heddon Street, Mayfair, London. Kwant was once a vision brought to life by Erik Lorincz, previously the Head BarTender at the Savoy Hotel, London, who has created what has now been ranked as one 50 of the Worlds Best Bars.
In regards to the interior, Kwant, Mayfair, has beautifully hand painted walls, decorated by French Artist Alain Grandne. Grandne designed a display of green foliage on the central back wall, creating a tropical theme, amongst the intricate lighting, addition of Bamboo Leaves and the elegant, plush seating. This tropical theme is combined with a sense of sophistication and class whilst creating a unique ambiance, treating guests to a new London bar with a difference. There are 24 alcoholic drinks on the menu, and also five non-alcoholic, many incorporating herbs which are grown in-house, carefully monitored to ensure they enhance the flavour of each cocktail that they're included in, giving each beverage a new and unique flavour that can't be found anywhere else in London. Our favourite Cocktail at Kwant is definitely Santiago, priced at £15, the drink is a spectacular combination of Matusalem Gran Reserva Rum, mixed with Muyu Chinotto Nero, Coffee Aroma and Coconut Water - just perfect.
For those looking for more than just a beverage, Kwant shares the Kitchen with the upstairs restaurant, Momo. Known for its exceptional Mediterranean cuisine, guests of Kwant, are able to order a selection of delicious bar snacks from Momo's Kitchen, this includes Oysters, Salads, Hummus, Beef Tartar and many more, the perfect accompaniments to an exceptional new bar, hidden under one of Mayfair's Restaurants best restaurants.

The Berkeley Hotel, one of London's top, five star hotels has become home to a beautiful new bar, The Berkeley Bar and Terrace.
The Berkeley Bar and Terrace was designed by Irish interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan (known for his exceptional work at the Ballynahinch Castle, Ireland). The new addition to the Berkeley Hotel promotes a cosy, relaxed ambience, with the soft, white and wooden colour theme, created from a 400 year old fallen Fulbeck Walnut tree, displaying exceptional craftsmanship and beautiful designs throughout the Bar. The Bar seats 40, in-keeping with the intimacy and exclusivity of the hotel and features a unique addition called ‘The Snug'. ‘The Snug’ is a separate area, surrounded by murals of female faces which is hired out for private functions, featuring its own sound system and ‘on-button’ service - making guests feel as if it’s their own personal bar.
The Berkeley Bar and Terrace’ menu displays a vast selection of fine wines, champagne, spirits, and cocktails. If this isn’t enough to entice you to go, the Berkeley Bar and Terrace also features a food menu, where guests can dine on a variety of dishes, each bursting with exquisite flavours. Aside from the food and drinks served, the Bar also has a selection of fine Cigars which can be used on the Terrace, or for external use.
The Berkeley Hotel now has two bars, The Blue Bar, a fabulous cocktail bar designed by David Collins’s, and the wonderful new Berkeley Bar and Terrace
The sophistication and intimacy of the Berkeley Hotel has been enhanced through the introduction of the new Bar, The Berkeley Bar and Terrace, a beautiful addition to one of London's top hotels.

One a gym haven, now — amongst other things — a gin haven, Jack Solomon’s is a fantastic Soho bar notable for the way in which it matches the vibrant character of its surrounding area , toe to toe, swing by swing. A match made in heaven. One of the most interesting bar’s in London — Solomon’s is fashioned as something of a speak-easy, preferring to invest in the wonderfully eclectic Prohibition era of drinking and socialising, where every figure to the left of the bar had a story to whisper in the night. Despite its namesake (the iconic cockney boxer) this elusive, exclusive bar has somehow utterly transformed its old boxing gym interior whilst holding onto the core spirit of the ring. They won’t ask you to last a round, simply share a few to order.
The showstopping, preformative pantomime of the archaic version of the English sport of boxing is still present with plush stage curtains that frame low-lit dining booths. No cage fighting – not anymore, but the vast array of bottles are shelved into chic cage-blocks mounted on the wall behind the cosy bar, and blindingly illuminated from behind (perhaps the spectacle is part of the fantasy, something slightly pervasive about the presence of the drinks that recalls that illicit cheekiness of american speakeasy — if so, it works a treat!).
The rich, dark carpeting, hidey-hole tables and lamplight glow holds onto the mystique of the underground fight club but has all the elegance of a parlour. The enchanting interior plays host to a dazzling array of exclusive entertainment — much more pleasant than a bust-up but equally vivacious: DJ Optimus Funk and Kristy Harper are regular stars, and with Drag nights and retro nights available, you can bet there’s always something astonishing calling you to join the fray.
At Jack Solomon’s the drinks certainly pack a punch. There’s simple pleasures that keep to the theme (the Four Pure American Pale Ale, for one), but ask the mixologists about the real heavy hitters. The ‘knockout’ cocktail is a long favourite, with Chivas Regal 12, Licor 43, Baristo and Creme de Noisette. Meanwhile, the ‘Jolly Jack’ perfectly honours the Solomon Spirit with a bold base and sweet finishing sting (Pomegranate and Basil Tonic faced down Rosemary-Thyme infused Boxers gin and strawberry in a showdown where everyone wins).
For a thematic Soho night that honours old London while harbouring exciting new memories for every visitor, throw down your glove at Jack Solomon’s Speakeasy bar when you can.

The Waterfront of Canary Wharf is a testament to this city's most pristine, cut-glass beauty. Views such as the likes of Humble Grape's capturing the zygoma of East London, and with it the mirage of Londoners sipping and dining out by the bay; they refract and reflect the best of us back at ourselves, ready for admiring
Humble Grape, a fantastic wine bar that shouldn't shy away from its equal credentials as a fantastic low=key restaurant, knows how to make the most of the view. The space inside is left open and lofty with low-hanging, green-sprout baskets that hang intermittently over the continuous sofa=back seating. The tables are the intermittent cabin windows, the calm water outside a constant presence.
Ut's the perfect storm to work up a powerful thirst in guests -- and good thing too, because they have over 400 wines on the menu, available by the bottle. This genteel bar aims to put value back in the uninhibited enjoyment of luxurious wine flavours, not just the name: they source sustainable and with producers they have tended personal relationships with/. The result? Fantastic, courteously fun events like their regular Tasting Tuesdays, where we (along with all visitors that day) sampled 4 mini test beverages following the inspiration brought on by Humble's Grape's team training day.
At the risk of underselling the enormous bounty of exclusive beverages on offer-- we have to earnestly recommend Les freres Laffitte Rose -- its red fruit and berry twang matching the sweet, naturalistic scenery of the waterfront bar to a T. When in doubt, simply turn to the wait staff like we did, they take not just pride but joy in recommending something of interest -- no snobbery here, for all its elegiac riverside presence. (There's even an inordinate selection of Rums, Gins and even tequila's if you're not in the mood for a bottle.)
With an early start and late finish every day of the week, Humble Grape also offers nourishment of the body and not just of the wine palette -- the Humble Grape Iconic Baked Camembert came in so many options we had to try them all: Honey and hazelnut for the sweet-tooth, or rosemary and Garlic to compliment those with a glass of something smokier to hand.
And if you need a little boost to kick start an evening of sampling -- try the 'retox' (genius) blast of their whizz fizz bloody humble Mary.
This Bar may be humble, but it has nothing to shrink from, it's a fabulous venue where the liquid inside is on equal glory with the liquefied horizon outside the front door. With bookings of up to twenty people for glamorous waterfront parties -- don't miss your chance to visit.

Often, a good night out in London can be confused with five to eight hours of hummingbird activity; the most places dropped in, pillaged, and evacuated en route to the cab home equals the ‘satisfying’ party. But what about a truly enriching night? One where there is no need to leave, seek anew, or start over next door because everything you need is there. Enter Nolita Social bar, a Knightsbridge venue and one of the best underground bars in London.
North of Little Italy — Nolita — imbues its Hyde Park corner with a flash of New York. The electrifying glamour of sleeplessness, a nocturne time too good to abandon, emboldens the soft lounge sets and Manhattan mansion decor. Small and intimate, this bar invited us to wile away the hours with a sustained ambiance: every hour, live music and DJ sets encompassing 70’s soul to 90’s Hip Hop alternated (nothing wakes you up like a double dose of gospel hits and B-boy lyricism all in one evening). this goes on until 1 am, and we felt so compelled to stay (it turns out they even host events outside of these generous regular hours — with a 100-spaced Bar-venue having hosted everything from film production to album parties, in true eclectic little Italy spirit.)
Just as the music ebbed, softened, and roared to life at intervals — so did the drinks we found at our disposal — we started with the Hudson White Manhattan, one to send you offshore into that good night. Taste whistle pig whiskey, Lillet blanc, Strega liqueur, and orange bitters. When it finally comes time for a nightcap, we can’t recommend the Seville highly enough. It could be hard to re-enter one’s body after such a sublime and elongated bar party — with patron silver tequila, aperol, passion fruit, habanero bitters and lime, it will truly calm you down.
Make a reservation, or simply stroll in (“Hey, you’ll walk in here”) to London’s Big Apple, one of the best new bars, Nolita Social.
