Il Bambini Club Restaurant London Review: An Italian Escape Lands in Shoreditch

On the ground floor of The HoxtonIl Bambini Club restaurant in London brings a slice of Italian joie de vivre—think trattoria meets artful design—to the city. Conceived by Paris Society (behind spots like Gigi and Louie), this buzzy Italiano concept officially arrives this September, promising fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, spritzes, and live mid-week music in a design-forward environment.

Il Bambini Club is the brand’s first UK outpost, following celebrated venues in Paris and Megève. Housed in the former Hoxton Grill space, it’s being brought to life by the RIKAS Group in partnership with Paris Society to infuse Shoreditch with Italian warmth, playfulness, and flair.

Designed by Virginie Friedmann and Delphine Versace, the interiors unfold like a daydream set. Plush, terracotta seats mingle with green tones, textured floral prints, and handcrafted ceramic accents. Fringed lamps hang overhead, while an open kitchen and expansive bar invite you into the heart of the action. This is Italian nostalgia refracted through East London’s contemporary lens.

Il Bambini Club is built for daytime to late-night conviviality—ideal for brunch, casual lunches, or spritz-fueled evenings. It’s a “neo-osteria”, blending convivial Italian sensibility with Shoreditch cool. Expect a lighthearted, sociable mood that feels holiday-adjacent, even on a midweek. The restaurant is shaping up to be Shoreditch’s most stylish Italian pick-me-up—part visual feast, part comfort-food sanctuary.

It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a little holiday in London’s creative quarter.

Il Bambini Club Restaurant London Menu

While still evolving, the menu promises a journey through Italian comfort and craft. Expected wood-fired pizzasgnocchi gratinati—all Sorrentinalinguine al limonerisotto with prawns, plus dolci like tarte citron meringuegelato al pistachio, and tiramisu. These nods to the menu tradition of Paris and Megève hint at heart and theatricality.

Some highlights include stracciatella with basil oil focaccia toastie – creamy and herb-laced, the perfect starter. The Tagliatelle al Tartufo is decadently earthy, typical of Bambini’s pasta offerings. Taste also the Veal Milanese with rocket and Parmesan – crisp, savoury, and delightfully classic.
