Embargo
Embargo brings a taste of Cuba to Chelsea. Located on King’s Road it is the place to be for an unforgettable night, transporting you from London to Latin America through their themed decor and drinks. Before entering the Cuban haven, you first walk through their cigar store, adding to the authenticity of the venue. With different night on Wednesday through Saturday there is something for everyone here. If that wasn’t enough, they offer half price cocktails between 10 and 11 every night, which is the perfect persuasion to arrive early.
The open brickwork gives the club a rustic feel, while still remaining sophisticated. The rustic walls marry beautifully with the vintage furnishing that fills the building, offering a shabby chic atmosphere, enhanced by the cuban themed posters and painting on the walls, making it feel as though you have been transported to a vintage Cuba. And if this wasn’t enough, the venue also offers an indulgent rooftop terrace, with botanicals growing on the walls, and decadent furnishing. Check out their website to look at some of their signature cocktails, which will only entice you to visit the club even more to try some for yourself! It boasts a selection of Cuba and latin american cocktails, such as the mojito, pina colada, tequila sunrise and el presidente.
Sunday through Tuesday, the club is available to hire for a private event, but the party starts from Wednesday night. On Wednesday’s they host Wednesday Night Embargo – their weekly students night. The night offers weekly DJ takeovers and special student drink offers. If this isn’t your scene, try Thursdays, TFI night, offering a 90’s takeover all night, taking this Caribbean paradise to a 90’s haven. On the weekends they offer 2 different nights. On Friday’s it’s Fidel’s House Party, a night embracing their Cuban dream theme, with a house DJ playing club and house music all night long. On Saturdays you can dance the night away at Fiesta Havana, a “sexy and sophisticated” night of drinking signature cocktails and dancing to house and commercial music. Beyond their unforgettable club nights, they also offer a cocktail masterclass starting at £28.95 for 2 hours, where you and all your friends can learn how to make your favorite cocktails, and if that wasn’t enough, they offer a free glass of bubbly on your arrival and samples of some of their signature cocktails!
