Annabel’s Club London

Annabel's Club London

Annabel’s club London was first opened in 1963 when the basement of Aspinall’s Casino The Clermont Club was transformed into a nightclub. It was founded by Mark Birley and named after his wife Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart.

Annabel’s was bought by Richard Caring in 2007 and in 2018 it moved to a new venue, a Georgian mansion located at 46 Berkeley Square. It is formed of 4 floors including restaurants, bars, garden terrace, cigar room, spa, and private dining rooms.

One of the changes made since the new ownership of Annabel’s club London was that while previously the clubs clientele were predominantly male, it is now a more equal ratio of men to women. Additionally the dress code has been relaxed in a bid to attract a younger demographic. Men are now only required to wear jackets in the downstairs nightclub.

There is a wide range of exclusive rooms at Annabel’s club London. Firstly there is the Flower Room with a fairy tale colour theme. The Silver Room aims to offer tranquil elegance. The list of rooms is rounded off by the Jungle Bar, Club 46 and The Snugs.

Annabel’s club features an array of exclusive events available for its members. These have included such events as yoga mornings, drag queen bingo and Christmas brunches.

Famous people who have stepped through the doors of Annabel’s private members club over the years include The Queen, Lady Gaga, Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald among many others.

Access to Annabel’s is strictly membership only and typically there is a waiting list of people waiting to get membership approval. Any membership application requires a letter of support from a current member. The price of membership starts at £3250 per year plus a £1250 joining fee.
